Default Raid!!!

Police attacked P2P servers in over a dozen countries earlier today, concentrating mostly in Sweden and going after WikiLeaks' host PRQ, but ignoring those specific servers according to prosecutors, moving instead against warez sites in Solna and several major cities.

Police actions against file-sharing were also carried out in 13 other countries in northern and eastern Europe and the British Isles.

Reports indicate the raids were at the behest of Belgium authorities and had been planned for two years.

you'd think that every server was mirrored (or at least backed up) somewhere else, no?

i think they all back up regularly. as for emergency alternate hosting, i'm guessing not for most. the pirate bay certainly. it came right back.

this could be the end of many sites. not to say they won't replaced, but it will take some time.
