Lightbulb Creative Sublimation Through Algorithmic Goofing

MusiNum - Generative Fractal Music

An interesting little freeware app to turn numbers into midi compositions.

QuasiFractal Composer and Tangent

QFC is a freeware app that can "turn out techno-ambient, impressionistic, jazz-like, or occasionally even neo-classical" midi compositions according to user input parameters. Tangent is its big brother, also free.

MidiImage - Picture Element to Midi Conversion

Created by a capitalist, but very cool in concept: midi compositions derived from pixel by pixel scans of computer graphics. Sample compositions and limited functionality demo available.

On that image to midi, mine sounded rather like that children's keyboard you strike with two sticks with a ball on the end. I need to work on it, but I'd rather someone (I'll mention no names) like Ramona do it after I send them a pic.
