Here's a bit of info from that NetMess link...

The NetMess Java Client, provides human interface to access the NetMess Peer2Peer network. Netmess is able to tunnel through HTTP proxies and firewalls, allowing you to use it nearly everywhere (including at work).

I've always wanted to have a p2p app that could HTTP tunnel through proxies and firewalls. I sure hope this one's gonna have a sizeable network of users some day.

Most of those are either innocent sample files, system files for VBS, a couple are just files with the string vbs in the file name, but one file in particular "2. eudora/attach/annakournikova.jpg.vbs, 2853 bytes" most definitely falls in the "Nasty Infection" category...

A properly set up system should never have allowed that attachment to have been saved...

VBS.SST@mm is a VBS email worm that has been encoded using a virus creation kit. This worm arrives as an attachment named AnnaKournikova.jpg.vbs. When executed, the worm emails itself to everyone in your Microsoft Outlook address book. On January 26, the worm will attempt to direct your Web browser to an Internet address in The Netherlands, from where the worm appears to have originated.
