Default $149 mp3 car stereo at Best buy

mp3 file format car receivers sure have come down in price.

I bought the Jensen one at Best Buy yesterday. Brought it back and had it replaced today.

The damn thing still skips, honks & quits 5 seconds thru the tunes. The first 20 songs seem to always work ok. the installation 'dood' said to try new media. Also said something about format.

Shit

I burn with E-Z CD Creator using a Sony on pny discs (or what's cheapest at the time). Plays back great thru my comp without fail.

Don't you think the damn thing should read ALL mp3 files.

149 bucks is a cool price...

if it works.

Should I buy another brand?

Anyone out there have any advice?

a friend of mine had the sony (around $300). it played all the mp3 discs i made (easy cd creator) using high end and store brand blanks alike. he'd still be enjoying it but some bad guy "liberated" the player last month.

think there's any chance he would've preferred the thief had "simply made a copy" instead of ripping the unit out of his dash?

I don't have any experience with mp3 players Nic, but as a general rule, don't forget you get what you pay for. Would you get the cheapest woodworking tool? Nope.

Hahahahah

You're right about that!

The cheapies have always worked good before. I'll buy a couple name brands and give them a try.

Jack,

I use ez cd too.

By the way, they had the Sony for $199, maybe I'll buy that one if I can't get the jensen to work.

I got an Aiwa in my car for $240 and it works great. The first is still the best I think.
