i tried AYBs morpheus enhancement tool, don't know, if you tried it already.
you can get it from www.doc.ic.ac.uk/~mab201/

it does a real good job.

If you try, first try it with no item delay.
(maybe there is a little bug (at least with nt4.0 sp5))

background:
in the last hours of morph forum i learned the following
(from Jaan) about searching.

the primary search is done on the supernode, you logged on.
further this supernode passes the search to a group of supernodes, it's connected to. but this is limited, covering only a (small) part of the net.
theoretically the passing should be done to different groups on the network, thus covering the whole net with increasing numbers of searches.

MorpheusX is definitely increasing the number of searches.
of course also the chance is higher, to catch an eventually online source before it disappears.

i think its really worth, you try it.

i changed the item delay code and tested it myself, never got above 1% CPU utilisation for MX. Rather than immediately release v0.2d which would have been a fourth version in about 3 days I stuck it here:

and am waiting for feedback from ppl who were experiencing massive CPU utilisation b4. give it a go, let me know if it fixes things for u
