Especially for you testing WinMX 3.0 beta here are two great sites for getting active OpenNap servers to add to your server list...

This guy loaded alot of servers into a dat file a la Trippy and NapiMX.

wow that sure is a lot of servers........without a connect all button it gets a little hairy on 56k trying to connect

can anyone suggest which servers to connect to, or any tricks needed to connect to specific servers ?

Personally I find the best way to get new and working servers on the OPenNap network is to run a dialup with Audiognome, let that pound the massive server lists for 30 mins or so, then pick off the top twenty most active ones and paste into WinMx, that way you get real up-to-date working servers, which is something today, as I find most are somewhat itinerate.

Once you have 20 or so, you can check the server logins and pick off a few more linked ones, discard those that send silly messages or insist you Join a ***king chat room or be killed, and you have a working set of the most reliable ones.

Beware the latest menace of server spam though, there is a new trick going on, with porn sites now spamming the P-2-P users.

There is also a way for them to crash your system, its been tried here a few times, when I pin down the servers to blame I'll post them here..

Meanwhile DJNap, Xanax, SonikNap, BritishBulldogsBite, AussieNet, have some good and non fussy servers.

About these spamming servers, I haven't come across those with spamming porn sites yet. I have gotten those pop-up go to a chatroom or be killed deal. Do the popups occur depending on what p2p app you use for these opennap servers or does it not matter?
