Winamp. Nothing beats Winamp. Just make sure to associate it with audio CDs when you install it (or do the same in the preferences dialog if it's already installed).

make sure 'associated with audio CDs' is checked and restart winamp

okay........i just did it!

i "added".
clicked "audio cd"
and it was added and then the songs magically appeared.
very cool.

but it will only do that when i'm connected, right.
otherwise i have to do it manually. and then will it save the tunes in there, even after removing the cd?

man, u learn something new everyday.

thanks, guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FYI: The songs will appear as artist name and Titles etc. is by the CDDB (an online database that will match your cd with the online listing so that when you put the cd in for the first time, it will retrieve the info from the online database on the initial time you put in your cd giving you the cd information. After the first time the cd is inserted and the database is retrieved, it will store this in memory on your pc. You must be online of course so that it works. If you are not online, the initial cd insertion, winamp will give you a display of 'Track1, Track 2 etc. You do not need to be online after the cd is read for the first time.

yes, i knew about the visualizations. they are cool. i've decided to check out the ones u listed. but i usually go to the link within winamp to get my skins and visualizations. so now that i've downloaded the ones u have listed, i can't get them on my visualization list, within the player.
i've dragged them into the av folder but they still don't show up to be configured.
obviously another thing i'm not knowing.
is there some other place they should be or will i have to manually list them?

thanks

All the ones I listed are available at Winamp's site... I just posted the links to the actual authors' sites.

Just double click on the files after you've downloaded them... they are .exe's and will automatically detect your Winamp plug-in directory and install on their own. They should then show up in your Viz's menu.
