Default PDA - thoughts?

I was given a Pilot Palm as a gift this year.

Since I've spent most of the day downloading software and OS updates for it I was wondering if anyone had a newer version (such as the newest palm m100 series) and if there is any possiblity of MP3 playing or fileing sharing with them.

Yes I'm new to the PDA scene.

The flash memory seems to be the biggest problem (size wise) to any file of a decent size being stored on these... are there others that have a decent memory/drive in them?

the samsung seems cool. it has a phone built in - an obvious first step to a self-contained internet device. also, the ms/os is coming on strong - for less $ too and has a good handwriting data-entry app. but that's all i know about 'em.
