Default McCain's Spinal Tap moment...

the point is pretty fuckin' hilarious, actually...McCain apparently wanted to give his acceptance speech in front of a picture of Walter Reed Medical Center - the place where incoming wounded Iraqi war vets are sent - to further remind us that he is a wounded vet, i suppose. instead, sombody from his campaign put up a picture of Walter Reed Middle School of North Hollywood, CA , which has nothing to do with anything at all. so either he never noticed that the 60 foot picture behind him was the wrong one or he has no idea what the Walter Reed Medical Center actually looks like

so the folks responsible for the presentation get one pic wrong and you find yourself blaming john mccain for not noticing it? should he personally have checked every picture before he made the speech or maybe he should have been looking behind him as every picture went up? get real man, someone made a boo-boo, big deal.

congratulations, your BDS has morphed effortlessly into McCDS

It's McCain's campaign. He doesn't hire competent staff. he hires fuckups.

I don't want another fuckup President running the US.

Okay then. Show us how they're different. Go on and point it out, because the nation wants to know.

McCain used to be his own man, and that man I could have supported if I had to. But that man is in a hole, held hostage by his ambition. The very ambition which hired the same assholes who said his foster daughter was his illegitimate daughter to knock him off the ballot on 2000. Fairly sad don't you think?

McCain listens to whomever has his ear at the moment. You want someone like that deciding domestic and foreign policy for the nation? You want someone who can choose a VP pick at the drop of a hat without vetting the candidate and without caring if they are qualified, just to 'energize' their 'base' or religious nuts?

'Country First'? No my country, bud. Not MY country.

and when exactly in this thread did i say that they were different? that's right, never.

you speak so derogatively of McCain's ambition like it's a terrible thing. the point of entering an election is to win....and during that period all politicians change their positions many times and pander to certain groups in order to pick up votes. (yes, even your candidate does that)

McCain has been a member of congress for 26 years now, and there were many many occasions when he broke ranks with his own party or leaders of his party and took an opposing stance on an issue. Obama on the other hand was first elected to congress in 2004. As of today he hasn't even served 4 years yet, not one stinkin' term. And how many of those 4 years have been spent running for president?

By any stretch of the imagination he has almost no real experience, yet you want someone like that deciding domestic and foreign policy for the nation? Because he was against the war in Iraq first? That's it? When did he reach across the aisle to work with Republicans, and what gives you hope that he will in the future, because he says so? McCain's actual deeds have proved his willingness to work with the other side.

the only thing different about your candidate is the color of his skin. that fact alone almost makes me want to vote for him. unfortunately, everything else about him is the same old bullshit, so i must repectfully decline. and i certainly don't harbor any ODS.

that's good enough for me.

it was the most significant foreign policy decision in a generation - only one candidate had the foresight and the judgement to see it for the fiasco that it would become. moreover, the other candidate continues to defend and support what has become the greatest policy failure of the Bush administration. the choice is obvious.

you are certainly entitled to your opinions, but that's all they are, opinions.

only time will reveal whether the results were worth the effort. and even if history eventually proves that Bush was correct, those with BDS will never give him any credit.

Bridgestreet Accommodation, Inc.
Brindisi, Italy
British Driving Society (carriage horses)
Broadcast Data Systems
Brownian Dynamics Simulation
Bundle Delivery System
Bundled Digital Services

possible match?

Bush Derangement Syndrome...it's an attempt to categorize people who do not approve of the many well-documented failures and excesses of the Bush administration as somehow not in full possession of their faculties. based on Bush's approval rating, BDS apparently afflicts about 71% of the country. conversely, one could also ask the 29% who approve of Bush's performance what medication they are taking...

ahh.. excuse my ignorance... I should of looked up the urban dictionary

Well anyway.. McCain certainly seems as 'brain dead' as Bush is
watching McCain's speech the other night had me thinking that they had him on some sort of psych drugs or that he was already dead and what everybody was watching was actually a robot in the skin of a dead man..
what ever it was it didn't look right... creepy in fact.

wrong.

Krauthammer defined Bush Derangement Syndrome as "the acute onset of paranoia in otherwise normal people in reaction to the policies, the presidency — nay — the very existence of George W. Bush".

And how would 'history' prove any such thing? History has already proven that Bush and his administration lied to the American people, congress and the world and started an invasion (notice I didn't say war, it was never a 'war') which has cost us more citizens than 911.

And McCain, within days of 911, was calling for that invasion because he was under the influence of someone who was not only full of shit, but later was found to be feeding information to Iran.

So get it right: McCain has killed more Americans than the terrorists in 911

'But the Surge! THE SURGE!' Hey, numbnuts, there wouldn't have needed to be a 'surge' if there hadn't been a 'war' in the first place.

And if McCain gets in one of his first 'missions' will be to attack Iran.

Lets have it right the, surge has helped.
I keep thinking there must not have been enough troops there in the first place to do the job.
They completely misjudged the situation.
I just think of all the lost lives, not just on our side.
It's very sad.

There were too many troops right from the start. We should never have invaded. Period.
