Well I certainly hope people over there won't pull that nasty prank of taking liquor bottles and replacing half their contents with methanol, commonly found in automotive "dry-gas", and distributing them throughout the crowd.

I wouldn't want malvachat or any other participant to end up on the receiving end of such a mean little trick. It could completely ruin the spirit of the occasion.

I get the idea that people will be responding to Bush's name in the same manner 20 years from now. Geez, they're just politicians.

I think Thatcher is just a focal point in the mass manipulation of the stupid crowd by leftist radicals, and the people who'll respond won't even have been affected by her actions. Another excuse to get drunk and destructive, like a soccer game.

Will U.S. liberals become that petty and vindictive in 20 years? They're pretty close now.

Not sure about the "leftist radicals"tag.
That certainly doesn't apply to me.

Sorry no crowd here.
Just a person who witnessed wholesale destruction of peoples lives. She hated working people with a vindictive hate.
One of her famous ones was "the enemy within"

Well it's good to see the two cooperative captives aren't getting rewarded for giving in and mouthing enemy propaganda.

Iran has changed it's mind about releasing the female and says it will put the whole bunch on trial.

I suppose Britain can't punish the two when their actions were performed under duress but they should give medals to the ones who kept their mouths shut and resisted Iranian pressure.

Why did they allow themselves to be taken prisoner? They were armed.

Well of course the Americans would have opened fire.
Then we'd have dead Americans and dead Iranians.
That of course, would be a far better situation to be in.
I was chatting to a soldier who's on leave from Iraq last weekend. He was saying a big problem over there is that the Yanks are far to gun ho in their attitude.(if that's the phrase?)He said it just causes bigger head aches with their attitude.
"They all think they're John Wayne"Was his words not mine.
He wasn't a kid either,he was a thirty year man.
Done time in Ireland and all over the place.
He was without doubt no bullshitter,
Of course one mans view doesn't make it the norm of course.
But I do wonder sometimes, when I hear the views of some on here.

Britain really should have shouted to the media when Iran gave coordinates inside Iraqi waters instead of waiting for them to release modified coordinates. Brainless and gutless.

No suprise that the EU refused Britains request for sanctions on Iran. Just like with Iraq their real allegiance is to the money from despotic regimes rather than any respect for international law or loyalty to a fellow member nation.

That leaves Britain with the option of appealing to NATO, since an act of war has been perpetrated against it, for military action.

Sounds like the Bush regime.

Ah hell they are getting rewarded for their disgraceful behaviour - big bucks from the media for telling their "stories" with the military temporarily suspending the rule specifically prohibiting just such conduct.
