Default NORAD had drills eerily like Sept. 11 Pentagon, Trade Center among imagined targets

WASHINGTON -- In the two years before the Sept. 11 attacks, the North American Aerospace Defense Command conducted exercises simulating what the White House says was unimaginable at the time: hijacked airliners used as weapons to crash into targets and cause mass casualties
so either the whitehouse had the heads up the asses or they are liars. either way they need to be booted out.

NORAD fighters based in Florida have intercepted two hijacked smaller aircraft since the Sept. 11 attacks. Both originated in Cuba and were escorted to Key West in spring 2003, NORAD said.

Considering that the planes originated in Cuba IMO "hijacked" is a bad and even wrong term to use. Stolen is probably more like it? It's not uncommon for the Coast guard or Air Force to catch illegal flights in that part of the U.S. from people trying to defect. Also considering no direct passenger flights are allowed between the U.S. and Cuba because of sanctions any traffic would be an immediate alert. They probably did make the news but hijacked wasn't the term used it was probably more like "planes carrying Cuban defectors"
