There is no way he saw the first plane crash into the WTC unless he knew it was going to happen. Why else would would he be watching the WTC.

Secondly, the first crash was not shown until the next day, when the firemans video was revealed.

So what TV was he watching.

Also, it does not seem like he was "whisked off of there" looks like he kept reading the goat book for another 15 minutes.
