Brows Servers Fighting Back

When you next get the chance to do some serious searches on the Opennap networks, try setting your file options up for video and .MPG, .AVI, .ASF or other video formats use the search key *.

do the tests on each server and see how many produce NO results?

You may be surprised to know that out of 30 main OpenNap servers tested here, 12 plainly rejected any form of video file, by carefull analysis of browse results of a typical user with 30% video and 70% Mp3 search counts were vastly different, the missing files were almost ALL video format files All the MP3 counts were the same within a few.

Maybe there is a split developing, there certainly ARE servers specific to video in fact they throw you out if you are NOT sharing any.

I must say from a purely personal point of view this would be a good idea so we can get back to decent MP3 transfer speeds, without having to wait for 16 hours for a video to finish ...

Snark ..
