Default Help in permanently deleting spyware

I need help in permanently getting rid of some spyware. I hae adaware and I keep deleting the spyware but not matter what, it always comes back. The spyware the always comes back is doubleclick and other.
Doubleclick information: C:\\windows\cookies\default@doubleclick(1).txt and
Valueclick: C:\\windows\cookies\default@valueclick(1).txt.
What are valueclick and doulbeclick and how do I get rid of them for good. Thanks.

Those cookies don't mean you have spyware, you visited web site contains ad by doubleclick or valueclick. you could use HOSTS file trick to cut access to those domains. or add in 'Restricted Site' in Internet/Security properties. I added an extra zone to do the same.

doubleclick and valueclick are cookies. you're just getting new ones each time you surf. it's normal. if you set your browser to reject all cookies you won't get them but then you may have a more difficult time navigating and staying signed in at some sites - even sites that don't attach 3rd party cookies including nu for instance.

you can sometimes opt out of 3rd party cookies. go here for more info but you don't need ad-aware to get rid of them. if you set your browser to delete all cookies at log out you'll get rid of them automatically and this way continue to surf normally. go to file | preferences | privacy in opera and check "throw away new cookies on exit."

- js.

or try Opera browser and reject third party cookies (i.e. from advertisers on the site you're visiting as opposed to the cookies from the site itself, which may be useful.)
