Default W.A.S.T.E. version problems

Anyone still making use of W.A.S.T.E.?
http://waste.sourceforge.net/

Running v1.1 at home and work as part of a small group only to find when adding a friend with v1.5 that they couldn't connect to the network. Downgrade to 1.1 and they are fine.

I didn't see any thing in the readme or docs about engineering incompatabilities into the later versions, anyone run into similar problems?

sourceforge has gone their own way, making their current versions deliberately incompatible with franken’s code. anyone wishing to add new members to their meshes still using the original program will have to include that code along with the invitations.

the ''franken'' mesh works as well as ever, and with each user who migrates to sourceforge, it's actually becoming more private.

some of the early zer0share members were from sourceforge that were working on the waste project..but when we told them we basicly we didnt trust any new versions that change the protocol
or something to that effect

i have been running version 1 beta 4 for months without any problems its the last one before the protocol became incompatible i think..when version 2 comes out i might install that as well so i can join some meshes that get made after 1.5
