Thumbs up What is the most popular p2p network? Well, it depends...

Sandvine, a company providing p2p traffic management tools for ISPs, has published an interesting study comparing the popularity of different p2p networks around the globe. The results are very interesting. FastTrack dominates the North American 'market' with 76 % of the bandwidth usage, eDonkey network getting less than 1 % of the traffic. But for example in Germany eDonkey is the #1 network with 52 % 'market share'; same in Israel. The international nature of p2p networking means that also American eMule/eDonkey users benefit from the overseas popularity of the network - as many American movie lovers have come to know...

See the story in Slyck for more details.
