I have no experience of KDX, can you give a brief summary of the features and your own experiences? How many people are in the community, what kind of stuff is being shared there? Does it work well?

This reminds me of Freenet. That was quite a hassle for the equivalent of 2 web pages.

I've never used Haxial, but I've used Hotline quite a bit. I've heard that the Haxial community is quite a bit like hotline before it went downhill. I should check it out someday.
