Fred Von Lohmann, a senior staffer at Electronic Frontier Foundation in San Francisco, said he heard that RIAA's song blocking technology would search for individual computer users who share a copyrighted song. The technology would then flood users' computers with repeated requests to download the song, slowing the user's Internet connection to a crawl.
Reconfig the firewall/router to drop packets from the source of the flood, just like with any other DoS attack.

A DoS attack works real well when hundreds of clients flood one server with data, but can one server flood hundreds of clients? Probably not. I'm not impressed, but I don't expect a whole lot from the RIAA. But if they cause enough damage to enough computers they'll have a class action law suit filed against them.
