Hey guys,

I'm new to this forum and have a couple of questions. I have an online hdd with my college and would like to download music/vids etc into it however i do not have admin or power user priv.

Which one is the safest yet widely used P2P software that I can install onto my online hdd without having admin priv? i have yet to try mIRC but some ports that are commonly used by IRC are blocked via McAfee VirusScan console, i can see the blocked port range as being 6666-66xx and possibly 66xxx. Is there anyway that I can get around this? Thanks for your help, hopefully i'll pharm some posts here

You are at college to learn. It's probably not worth getting into trouble with them just to download stuff.

You could try emule. You can download it as a zip rarther than an installer. Should run from any location you have read/write access to.
