Default DC++ hub shut down?

It would seem that the foremost DC++ hub at a major University (One of the only ways left to share files on college campuses), has been shut down. There are rumors flying around that the administrator was arrested and some of the major sharers where fined. The interesting thing is that this was one of the "secret" hubs, the address of which is not given to employees of the Universities IT department, which means that the hub was actively searched out before being shut down. Just wondering has anything like this happened in other Universities, where the school actively seeks out the administrator behind the hub and takes widespread action like this?

EDIT: Also could this be a trend that other universities will follow in the future?
