I am a leecher, please help me to became a sharing person?

I am a leecher in its worst kind of online form. I got cable broadband download at 1MB+/sec (MB, not Mbit) but hey, screw all the rest of you. I upload at 50KB/sec and don't expect me to upload much.

Now why is that? Because I live in Belgium and our ISP's f*ck with us. We have monthly download limits (15GB/month) and we can only upload 10% of that amount. That means 1.5GB upload a month… Can you imagine? Not even half of a DVD-R a month. And the funny thing is, we can't even upload fast.

I have the fastest line available and it's a 6.6Mbit down, 512Kbit up.
(6.6 is the minimum guarantied and the 512Kbit is a capped max)

So they force me to be a leech!! And I have at least 900GB of stuff to share with the world.

Please help me and my fellow Belgians and sign this petition.

good thing you don't live in the states then where you get sued for sharing - but somehow we still manage it. still, with "2.5GB" a month available for upload with telenet/skynet that's over 25 albums ripped at at an impressive 192k. no excuse to leech there - go for it. good luck with your petition anyway. there should never be limits, price levels maybe but not limits. welcome to the underground.

if you have a 6.6 Mb connection, here's a newsflash:
you're not downloading at 1 MB/s

at most, you're getting 742 KB/s, and that's under the most ideal conditions.
in order to download at 1 MB/s, you would need to be on a 9 Mb connection.
