Ares Starts New Network

Former Gnutella client Ares has decided to forgo it’s legacy and go it alone with a brand new network. As of this posting the user count has just broken the 1300 mark, up from 1000 this weekend. It picked up 100 users on Monday alone. Doesn’t sound like much but from these humble beginnings did mighty Fastrack grow.

The client has all the latest features like multi-sourcing, swarming, built in players, browsing, and it supports any file type. It also boasts “Built-in webserver with DNS automatic update to host your own website”.

What it doesn’t have is spyware.
