ok here goes

u probably noticed that the program is pure s.h.i.t

a lot of useful features were taken out, some new stuff which probably no one will use here was put in, and there is a nasty undo bug (sound forge creates 64-bit undo files, and as a result each undo/redo operation will take years to complete)

anyhow, my suggestion is go back to sound forge 4.5 e or g. as soon as a fix is released for sf5, i will post it, provided that i won't fall in love all over with 4.5

for those here who need an editor capable of 24-bit float point, i would recommend to give wavelab 3.03 a try. its available in the napsterites locker. its a little different to use than sound forge, but it has features that are not available in sf5, and it is also very very fast. it uses both directx and vst (virtual studio technology) plugins

over and out
ciao
