the pentagon lies about fatality counts. they thought they were slick in vietnam: sky-high enemy counts, near zero allied. progess! the problem was nobody believed them. grudgingly acknowledging "mistakes of the past" (bowing to public outrage) they promised a new openeness for the future. it's even worse now. progress!
