thanks "snowman" and what is even more curious to me is that I caught that anon username above the one connected to the supernode.kazaa.com which whois results said is registered to Niklas Zennstrom (Consumer Empowerment or CE) connecting to me trying to download the latest update of kmd161_en.exe

when i instant messaged the id (not knowing at the time it was a server or "supernode" REALLY controlled by kazaa meaning they "own' it pay for the bandwidth..etcetera the connection was dropped but did pick back up immediately.

having said that, and since some fact checking was done and a post was apparently found to be premature and pulled, i consider the matter closed.

You should know that the kmd.exe setup program only connects to a single peer - it does not download from multiple sources like the full client.

Just so you know.

Tip3 if you don't know the name of files contained on the server try guessing a few like C:\ or hda0 or .files etcetera...

Any more examples? i just can't find a single damn file on any address supernode or otherwise.

example: I connect to 'address:1214' succesfully but no files to be seen i try putting C: at the end but still nothing, i even tried putting a full path on the end --->'address:1214/c:/program files/kazaa/my shared folder'<--- but still nothing

Help please anyone!
