I humbly submit a recommendation
I was just watching the Olympics and much to my surprise saw a TV commercial with a song from an obscure artist who I admire greatly, Richard Buckner, and I wanted to recommend his CD called Since, which is from 1998. It's really a fantastic CD if you can find it. The song on the commercial is called "Ariel Ramirez".

Glad you like it--the whole CD is great.
Also, he did another record called "The Hill" which is based on the poetry of Edgar Lee Masters (The Spoon River Anthology), a series of 'auto-epitaphs' or monologues in free verse, which often contradicted the pious and optimistic epitaphs written on the gravestones. |
