Post Download.com: Kazaa #1 this week!

First of all, this is a great forum community. I have been searching for p2p information on the net and this forum has the most intelligent up to date news and information.

I noticed that Kazaa is now the #1 most downloaded program on download.com at just over 2.7 million downloads last week. (Morpheus Preview is #1 at 2.1 million)

With the amount of complaints in the review sections, I can't help but think Morpheus really blew it big time. They were arrogant enough to think they could weather a storm. To their chagrin, their mass user base left in a matter of days.

Wow, how things change quickly!

Welcome nickroberts. I'm stupid, so I won't be any help.

P.S. I prefer edonkey for the large size movies, and iMesh for getting them in a hurry. Add blubster for music downloads.

These are impressive numbers indeed and show clearly how filesharing is just catching more momentum, whatever happens to the individual companies involved and whatever the various industry 'analysts' are saying in their wishful thinking. It also probably is the #1 attraction driving consumers to broadband services even if the content industry through its mouthpiece Senator Hollings tries to paint an almost opposite picture.
