Well it`s about time.... You can get Pink Floyd Dark Side Of The Moon in surround . I think all albums should be made that way.

Is this new or am I just slow to catch on

bet that sounds good...

heard cuts from a cd on NPR called "Dub Side Of The Moon" ...a complete reggae version of Dark Side - it sounded really good. i understand it even cues up with the Wizard Of OZ

Is it DVD Audio you're speaking of? Cause if so, yes I agree. 5.1 surround mixed dvd audio discs are killer.

We got linkin parks hybrid theory in dvd audio and blasted it on a Pioneer Elite reciever with a 7.1 setup of Klipch Reference Series loudspeakers.

Definatly will make you drool

Dov, I think I`m talking about the AUDIO CD in 5.1 surround sound not a dvd . Also I found out that the Rolling Stones re-issued thier first 22 albums in 5.1 surround

Wow, never heard of that. Seems to me if they have came out with 5.1 technology for a cd then they would have to compress the data more, decreasinig sound quality.

But with dvd audio it's the exact opposite. There is more compression on dvd audio than on Sonys new SACD format so it doesn't sound 'as good' (Still sounds great imo), but more room to add the extra information for 5.1 surround.

Plus most Dvd Audio discs come with lots of special effects and videos. Really neat stuff.
