Default Allen Staffers Throw Constituent to Floor

An ex marine at a voter and press meet-and-greet who tried asking his senator a question was rewarded with a headlock and thrown to the ground. After being grabbed by the neck he attempted to engage Allen about rumors he behaved crudely towards a woman, blurting out something like “Senator Allen, did you spit on your first-wife?”

The question - which apparently goes to the lawmaker’s temperament and respect for others and the law - was met with further violence as Allen staffers pulled Stark down to the floor and tried ejecting him from the hotel.

Allen represents the punk chickenhawk wing of the GOP - i'd like to see Webb take that one.

Yet another example of a liberal propaganda parrots distortion of an incident.

The asshole tried to shove his way through staffers to get at the senator, who was not at an event but was walking through a hotel, and was restrained and forced away.

In a Monday posting on "Calling All Wingnuts," the blog Stark publishes, he hinted that he would attempt to provoke Allen before the TV cameras.

A typical liberal campaign tactic, along with the usual pre-election increase in the squawking on the PA forum.

I've spent enough time getting paid to be a human wall between the public and some star to see that they overreacted. The first contact is the staffer that looks Stark in the eyes then turns his back to body block Stark. Perfectly done.

Second contact is the older staffer in the white shirt, does what is effectively a basketball moving pic. Doesn't plant his feet and moves with Stark to keep him on the edge away from the Senator. Again, nothing wrong with that.

But for some reason that same older staffer decides to turn and make a grab for Stark's wrists/hands. This is where is moves from defensive protection to battery. Stark wasn't presenting himself as a threat (annoying, sure. Threat, no.) so they should have just blocked him out and let the Senator continue on his way (you'll note the Senator never even looked back).

Once the event escalated into a wrestling match, then the younger staffer attempts a headlock. This is an extremely ametuar move because it's impossible to control someone is you are trying to hold them in a headlock while standing. This same staffer is the one that will offer to help Stark back up off the ground and escort him out.

Bottom line, the staff had no business touching Stark and even less business trying to play the role of muscle for the Senator. If there is a threat on the Senator the Sercret Service and the FBI assign agents. If there is just a concern ask the local Police to come out and provide crowd control.

it looks to me that the guy throwing him to the ground isn't even a staffer.

Stark asks the man, "are you part of....?", and the man replies, "no i'm not, no i'm not at all".

the staffers appear to be wearing blue Allen stickers, the old guy isn't.

Are you part of the police? (or any branch of law enforcement, SS, FBI, whatever)
Are you part of hotel staff?
Are you part of hotel security?

Any one of those I would ask to know if I was legally obilgated to leave the area when asked. It would also explain when given the answer of 'no' Stark made no change in his attempts to ask his questions.

EDIT:
Looking back at the CNN video - before the question and the tackle, the staffer in the brown jacket is already grabbing onto Stark. I personally would like to see the video preceeding that moment.

Hey Jack...

If anybody asks me if I spit on my wife...

He is getting the same kind of an answer.

What would you do?

I hate to say it, but you do seem to be a knee jerkin', bleeding heart, tax&spend, program loving liberal. Do you even or have you ever once tried to look at both sides? Even once? If you have, I sure have never seen it here.

you wouldn't have much business making laws in america nic if you beat your wife, got arrested for it but ran for office on some kind of family value bullshit, then beat up anyone who asked you about it because it's "rude," when all you're doing is hiding behind some kind of honor you don't even have. i wouldn’t have much respect for you if you did.

i mean we're putting ourselves in a vulnerable position here aren't we, asking strangers to govern us? so we're just being idiots if we can't even bother to find out whether they can at least govern themselves.

i can't stand hypocrites who make laws they have no intention of obeying. let's have the dialog about gay marriage, polygamy, drugs, porn, abortion. all of those things. they should be legal, but they trowel on phony morality and why not? all they're doing scraping the bottom for votes, it’s easy since they don't have any intention of playing by the rules they make us (by armed force) live by.

i'm a small-gubmint anti-gun-control free-press-lovin democrat agnostic (who doesn't own a pistola or a printing press), and i call 'em the way i see 'em, and right now, i see an out-of-control government and republicans trying to destroy the best part of america. it ain't gonna happen if i have anything to say about it nicster.
