Default how is it?

how is it that some oil company's can inflate their prices so much "due to production lows" but yet still post a profit earnings of nearly double than last quarter?

I might be wrong on this but I believe you answered your own question in your original post.

They inflated the price. I believe prices are often inflated in expectation of future increases in cost of their doing business.

There goes that whole liberal theory about "stealing Saddams Oil" and attacking Iraq for all that FREE oil we were gonna take. Yep we are still paying for it like eveybody else, and the same 5 Arab families are raking in billions and they will continue to allow people like Saddam to commit atrocities and continue to allow the US to clean the dogshit out of their own backyard instead of Arabs getting rid of their own mangy rabid Arab dogs and policing their own part of the world.

Your terminology needs improving but you seem to be asking how a company can raise prices and then somehow make more money?

That's like asking how someone could get dumber and then be more of an idiot.

and did that liberal theory end up in the same place as that conservative fantasy that Iraqi oil was gonna pay for the war and reconstruction?

Quote:
Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz: “There’s a lot of money to pay for this that doesn’t have to be U.S. taxpayer money, and it starts with the assets of the Iraqi people…and on a rough recollection, the oil revenues of that country could bring between $50 and $100 billion over the course of the next two or three years…We’re dealing with a country that can really finance its own reconstruction, and relatively soon.” [Source: House Committee on Appropriations Hearing on a Supplemental War Regulation, 3/27/03]

Think maybe, it might be wise to pump our own oil?

Or should we be pricks and use everyone elses up first?

A guy at work told me that this is exactly what they're doing, using up everyone else's oil so that when they start to get as dependent on oil in the future as we are now then we'll have a monopoly. I took his theory at face value, just a theory.
