how long would it take to upload a terabyte to the cloud, which would kill the new caps anyway. if i'm away and online i'll listen to internet radio. if not, a dozen gigs on a thumb drive takes care of just about any contingency.

exactly - needing more places to store music just doesn't seem to be a problem looking for a solution.

that being said, it's nice that Amazon and Google apparently walked away from negotiations with the music labels and correctly declared no license necessary for such services. fuck 'em

speaking of that, my ISP (ATT) just started a 150 G per month cap. i got all in a huff until i checked my usage and found it's actually nowhere near that. some pirate i am *sigh*

and i would drop them for this just on principle but the only other ISP in my area (Charter) also caps usage.

Another thing that's really not necessary. Also, there's a pretty good Grooveshark downloader.

nice napho. i haven't used grooveshark in a while but when i did i'd pull tracks out of my cache if i wanted them. also, i came across another streamripper a couple of weeks ago and mentioned it in the wir. i'll look around for it.
