Default The Tea Party

hi guys and gals.

just wondering if any of u's have heard of the band THE TEA PARTY?

they are (as my daughter likes to put it) a very "dramatic" band.
i like to describe them as very haunting.

they have travelled the world extensively and have incorporated, just a "kiss" of these exotic places. i would classify them as a kind of alternative/rock.
in the beginning they took on a very "Doors" sound and look, for the lead singer resembles him strikingly. they have now forged their very own unique sound (unfortunately, he can't much change his looks), though he has tried.
they are a very under-rated band, here in Canada (yes, i'm plugging the Canadians). They hail from Windsor, Ontario. They are absolutely amazing live. Unfortunely, u may not have heard them, for they have not taken any interests in going the U.S. way, like many other Canadians do. i don't think they need it, but i thought i'd give them a hand in spreading the word.

why not check them out and let me know what you think.......u'll have no probs in winmx finding them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i'm listening lately to "Psychopomp". i also luv "The Bazaar", "Heaven's Coming Down" and "Save Me".

have fun!

Heya nanook.

Haven't heard them, but haunting is a powerful adjective for my money.

Looking like Jim can't be a bad thing either...

Thanx, I'll check 'em out.

I must say
Emerald is one of my favourites... there are many more as well.
One of my teachers acutally met them ..hm...last friday...so thats a week ago.
Me and a friend of mine missed one of their concerts shoulda gone..but didnt..no time, had some other stuff to do.

I havent listened to'em for quite some time...music interest changed to jazz... but I still occasionally listen to other styles that i liked before.

Either way... Tea Party rocks..one of my dad's friends was the sound engineer for one of the albums..Triptych i believe..or whichever way you spell that...
Also, him and the lead singer worked with David Usher on his latest album as well.
