• 1. Download the program
  (initial release(add .zip tag to the file))
  or sourceforge
  later releases versions 1.1 to 1.4
• 2. unzip..etc
• 3. Install the program
  
  * 3.1 Start the installation file
  * 3.2 Press "I Agree"
  * 3.3 press "next"
  * 3.4 press "install"
  * 3.5 Then a new screen appears, move your mouse around in circles until "WASTE PROFILE setup.." appears
  * 3.6 Now fill out your profile
  o 3.6.1 Fill out the box after "Nickname" with your nickname
  o 3.6.2 Fill out the box after "Real name" with your anything else but your real name..
  o 3.6.3 In the box under "Connection speed" you find your internet connecting speed, don't fake it. It hurts your download more then your upload.
  o 3.6.4 Press "next"
  * 3.7 Press "Run key generator..."
  o 3.7.1 In the box after "Passphrase" you enter your SUPER-PRIVATE PASSWORD...
  
  remember to write this password down.... Don't ever forget it.
  o 3.7.2 In the box after "Passphrase again" you enter your SUPER-PRIVATE PASSWORD again.
  o 3.7.3 Press "Generate"
  o 3.7.4 Move your mouse around in circles until a small box appears
  o 3.7.5 Press "OK"
  o 3.7.6 Press "Next"
  * 3.8 If you don't know shit, then don't mess with "Download path"
  o 3.8.1 Press "Add..."
  o 3.8.2 Now browse your hard drive and locate the folder with your shares, now mark the folder, so the folder name turns blue.
  o 3.8.3 Press "OK"
  o 3.8.4 To enter more share folders, repeat 3.8.2 until you don't have anymore folders to share with the rest of us. Now go to 3.8.5
  o 3.8.5 Press "Run"
  
  
• 4. In the box titled "Waste" you press "File" and then "Preferences"
  
  * 4.1 Press "identity"
  o 4.1.1 In the box under "nickname" you enter your nickname.
  o 4.1.2 Press "update nickname"
  * 4.2 Press "Private Key"
  o 4.2.1 Press "Copy my public key to the clipboard"
  o 4.2.2 NOW it's going to be a bit tricky. Enter your mail program and open a "new mail" and click "Paste.." now you should have pasted your Waste Key into the mail.. Send that mail to who ever gave you the Waste program, or to someone you know inside the waste society.... in the case of this forum post it here or/and here:

  * 4.3 The person you have mailed your key to, now have to mail you his key.
  (get the list of keys at waste board (you can export all the keys there to a single file-wich you can save then right click and open in notepad)
  hint:you can copy the entire list of our keys and paste them in the "load key text box" it will tell you eg."(18)keys have been added correctly")
  
  o 4.3.1 Go to Prefrences->Public keys
  o 4.3.2 Press "Add..."
  o 4.3.3 In the white box in the bottom, you press in the middle with your right mouse button and click "Paste"
  o 4.3.4 Press "load key text"
  * If you're Internet Service Provider have provided you with 1 IP for your use only. Then go to 4.4.1 and if they haven't provided an IP for your use only, then go to 4.4.3
  * 4.4 Press "IP addresses"
  o 4.4.1 Click in the little white box placed before "Force incoming IP to"
  o 4.4.2 In the box after "Force incoming IP to" is where you enter your provided IP.
  (mostly for routers that use network address translation (NAT) )
  o 4.4.3 check route traffic
  and the other 2 check boxes under that
  
  *4.5 In waste prefrences>network>
  network name /ID

  * 4.6 Press "Close"
  
  
• 5.To join our Wasted! chat room Press "ALT+J"
  
  * 5.1 In the newly appeared box, you enter "#zer0chat"
  * 5.2 Press "Join"
  
  
• 6. Basic shortcuts to the different waste windows
  
  ALT+B = Opens the box where you are able to browse all the other users in the Waste Network.
  ALT+N = Opens the box where you are able to see who is uploading and who is download and with what speed.
  ALT+T = Opens the box where you are able to your transfers, what you download, what you have queued and what you are uploading
  ALT+P = Opens the box where you are able to change your preference settings

if you have problems connecting try turning your firewall off for a little while
