Default Alliance secure f2f

Anyone here tried Alliance? It seems pretty sweet. Kind of a competitor to WASTE - but so much more user friendly and sleek.

From the Alliance homepage:
"Alliance is a private and secure environment to share files and communicate with people you know. Alliance is open source and works on Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. The Alliance network is completely decentralized."

Homepage:
http://www.alliancep2p.com/

Source Forge project page:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/alliancep2p

What do you guys think?

i fired this prog up with a friend today...on the plus side, it connects easy, simple interface, got speeds between 50 kbs and 100 kbs. on the minus side, it's quite the resource hog...maxes out my 2.2 gig processor to the point where it's really not even practical to run it when i'm trying to do anything else.

that's too bad. was it idling or doing something temporary like hashing a share folder?
