Thumbs up Great site to discover world music

Just fell on this pearl while browsing through the BoomBox avail station.

http://magnatune.com/genres/world

Whole albums streaming at 128k, if I only had a streaming ripper...

Listening to Tilopa modern Japanese zen-flute, very soothing

I have used the Winamp version of Streamripper (available from Multi's link). Not 100 % stable but the problems are quite rare and have occured only in very long sessions (hours). For occasional recording of Winamp-playable streams it does the job just fine.

Thank you for the ripper suggestion but it kinda didn't work the way I expected it to be. Tried it and got 44 files instead of 8

Just to say, found a simpler and more reliable way to get those tracks. I let them all stream until the album is done, right click on a song, view the file info, gives the url of the song, load the url in browser, let the song download in firefox browser and finally, Save page as

Lots of music genre there, i'm surprised at the quality of the music too.

You call that simple!!!!. You could use a download manager, Go to the site in a File Explorer view and download that way. A good dl manager would find the right url, in this case it seems to change the www to mms.
