With the demise of AudioGalaxy and SongSpy on the financial ropes Blubster has a chance to go bigtime with the release of version2. They have new financial deals on the way as well; the first is a tie-in with a broadband supplier. I don't think Ad-aware will construe that as spyware!

hey guys/gals, Blubster 2.0 is finished! 100%!

we just need to finish some deals in the financial side to get it online for download... so even if those deals don't go well, you all will have it in no time, before or on 26th of June most probably.

I am fighting with myself to not upload it now! lol here is a list of *some* features.. just for you to excite a bit

- navigation buttons on home and help
- 30 (yes, 30) times faster song scanner
- complettely rewritten internal player
- playlist
-advanced search (and faster btw)
- buddy list (and ignore list)
- multisource downloads (reliability is so great that you get everything you start downloading)
- pause, resume, autoresume, etc downloads
- explore user collection in other tab (where hotlist is placed)
- a cool graph showing the bandwidth used by blubster
- connection issue resolved (yeah, firewall & proxy support for everyone)
- channel based chat (powered by p2pchat)
- mm... well an entire new configuration window with a lot of new options
- and well.. more things... new features, improved protocol, bug fixes... you'll see it yourself very soon

sooo... be prepared for the BIG BLUB... it is coming!!!

Fellow blubzies!

You may have noticed a that the normal banner shown up in this site is no longer there; and a \"Blubster broadband\" big banner is on its place.

This is a new partnership that will hopefully bring to some of you broadband connections at reasonable prices, while contributing financially to the Blubster network.

I agree. I guess I'll have to take the blubster site off of my host blocking list to download the new version. It's annoying, if I don't, then these annoying script errors pop up all the time. I don't like that.

that 30 times faster bit ALONE has me drooling.

I have Blubster installed but the waiting for it to digest my shares made me abandon it.

I am sooooooooooo going to try this out...

I always hated that the damn song scanner was 40% through when I already decided that the Blubster network still is too small to find anything and closed it.
