Question Does anyone here participate in groups on Audiogalaxy?

I'm totally lost here............

Belong to a couple groups got sent a nice one last night and would like to send in return BUT I'm running into the red x problem.

If ya know your way around AG, could you pm me with some insight or instructions.

TIA

Opera wiped all my bookmarks the other day, including all the AG groups I'd researched.

Been busy trying to get my bookmarks back, haven't tried AG groups again yet but will sometime (before they get canned, I hope!)

So far:

FUNK CLASSICS:

FUNK CLASSICS TEMP 70...
FUNK CLASSICS TEMP ALBUMS
FUNK CLASSICS SLOW TEMPOS
DiscoDanceClassics
FUNK CLASSICS TEMP
Disco Spammers

There's tons of others I'm checking out but these are the only ones i've joined so far.

They've sent out about 20-30 songs. Some are so-so but other's are fantastic tunes I've never heard before! Groups are also great for special requests and X'd songs.

The only drawbacks I've seen so far are that you can find yourself running out of hard disk space rather quickly as these groups are constantly sending out songs. Communications can be difficult as you have to use a message board format to talk to fellow users.

One more thing - many of the groups sign up new users only if a known user has recommended them to the group. Could be sticky to start out with but once you're in, you're home free to tons of great music.

On the whole though........I LOVE the groups and recommend everyone try signing up to a few.

Due to 56k, movies aren't an option for me.

thanks, GR. funk groups were foremost among the ones I'd bookmarked before the Great Hotlist Wipe of 2002.

good tip about HDD space, I'd have to be careful on that score.
