Wink Filetopia getting decentralized & multisourced

Just out of curiousity I had a look at Filetopia's homepage and found this interesting piece of news:

Jan 11 , 2002 Beta testing 3.0
We're already in the beta stages for this version (still a closed beta), but watch out for many new improvements including a de-centralized network and multi-source segmented downloads.
Filetopia has been around since the times of Napster and when I tested their software a good while ago it was very good (much better than Napster's) - the only problem was that the community was small and seemed to share more cracked software than music. The new decentralized version is still under testing and it is unclear when it will come out but this is one player worth following. The guys behind the Filetopia project are from Spain and as long as I have followed them they have appeared to be true p2p afficiandos, summing up their approach like this: "We strongly believe that information - like ideas - should be freely available. This is the original spirit of the Internet, and the driving force behind the Information Age. By the use of State of the Art technology we can attain the freedom which the net strives to achieve ... and that is our goal: a Free, Private and Secure Internet."

Now that is a philosophy to stand by and clearly shows the right spirit for the future evolvement of P2P applications.

Nice find TankGirl.
