Default Riaa vs digital radio

Quote:
RIAA officials said digital-radio players could soon allow listeners to record certain songs automatically when they are broadcast, allowing them to build a free library of music they otherwise might pay for and distribute it to millions of others over the Internet.

Players already on the market in Europe, such as Pure Digital's "The Bug," allow users to pause and rewind broadcasts and record them digitally.

Under restrictions proposed by the RIAA, listeners would be able to record digital broadcasts for later playback, but would not be able to divide that broadcast up into individual songs. http://WIRED.COM/news/digiwood/0,141...w=wn_tophead_3
while they are at it they can call for a worldwide ban on cd and dvd burners..
when will people learn that its a crime to listen to things..?

who owns the copyrights for cicada sounds...they could make a packet oneday...
( maybe they would get sued )
