Seeing how Microsoft has already announced it's plans to discontinue 98 support. I would imagine ME will be shortly behind being the joke that it was.

shame about the old OS's ..but yeh it was bound to happen..there will be a lot of new p2p stuff that wont run in pre-xp windows in the future ..
but a lot of developers will try and make win98/me apps for the current protocols im sure(if its possible)...theres a pretty dedicated bunch of users of the older platforms out there it seems..

yeah. but that's what they say about skype. an xp/2ooo only thing. meanwhile it works great on win/me.

sure are. first and foremost being application migration. moving 300 programs that work well onto a new platform - just because it's new - is a high danger excercise with low value returns.

I'm sure it'll run on 98 very soon. Don't forget this project is less than 2 weeks old. Sharman made the developers of Kazaa Lite shut down and immediately their nemesis random nut made a loader for the new KMD. Other guys cleaned out the spyware and added DietK because it had a few extra features. Give it a while and it'll be as slick as Kazaa Lite and work on 98 and ME.

It just replaces the "no page to display" with a solid colour or something of your choice. Makes things look better but I've heard it can screw up things too.

strange, at install notes say that's all you need but after startup it says it can't find kazaa.exe. it won't launch. it's missing something.

When you install that it's supposed to install the clean KMD then remove the unnecessary components. Maybe your firewall blocked it's download or their site is offline.
Just slip this into the folder. Shortcuts should point to start.exe.
