Can anyone connect to Edonkey?
I've been trying for over 2 hours. I tried with the lite bot, and also without it. No matter which way I try, I simply cannot connect.
Would someone else who had Edonkey please see if they can connect so I'll know if its on this end or not? Thanks

lol,
I get problems connectiing to edonkey all the time, but maybe its just me being impatient....? I really hate it when it runs through the list of servers.. Cant connect etc, but what tops it for me is the download speed is so slow.. is it just me or are uploads faster than dopwnloads? H@Xor

Edonkey is probably the slowest of all the file sharing programs that I've tried. But I'll tell you what, they have the best selection of the large size movies. I like to compare it to the tortoise and the hare. Edonkey is slow, but it plugs along, and always crosses the finish line sooner or later. And once I do get connected, I stay connected.

happy birthday, Dawn!
and many more. now a question...are you on cable or DSL? and by big movies HOW BIG 2 gibabytes? or 600 to 700mb and how long in hours/days would you say it takes to complete a download of 600 to 700mb for you? (rough estimate, please) I'm curious as i've never been able to connect to E-donkey and am on dial-up. but SIL |

Thanks Harby
I usually go for movies around 700 MB, and I'd say my average speed is usually between 6.0 to 15.0. Since it's my birthday, and I'm celebrating, I'll let you do the math on how long a download would take. I have cable btw.

Very True Dawn
Although it is slow It always comes up with the goods. Its a shame though, that faster p2p's dont produce the same quality files, but you (we) can only blame the sharers. BTW Happy birthday too!!! Hipp Hipp horray, dawn is ? today!! LOL
