Exclamation Computer theft scam still alive!

This will not apply to most of you, but be warned!

He is at it again! Nicholas L. Foster of Highlands Ranch, Colorado continues to transverse the country trying to pull his scam. But our vast Troubleshooter Network has so far thwarted him!

Here’s the deal … he buys laptop computers through his bogus company, then never pays for them. He then sells the computers through a fence in California.

We first got wind of the scam (ORIGINAL STORY) when he did it throughout the Denver area. He bought hundreds of laptops from various small to medium computer vendors. He posed as an executive director of a number of organizations and took the computers on credit. The vendors tell us they were never paid.

When we began our investigation, Foster’s attorney, Joanne Underhill, claimed her client was not involved in any illegal activity. She said he was simply having cash flow problems. She said the vendors are creditors, not victims.

Eventually our investigation led to his arrest and arraignment for felony theft charges and was held on a $50,000 bond. He is now out on bail pending a trial sometime in early 2004.

Meanwhile he is now attempting to buy computers elsewhere in the country. One company in Atlanta contacted us after being approached by Foster. He was attempting to buy laptops to the tune of $27,000. The vendor did a search on the Internet and found our information on Foster.

Just today, Friday, October 10, 2003 … we were contacted by a computer vendor in Phoenix who also found out about Foster on our website.

This Arizona vendor was approached by Foster to sell 20 laptops to be "paid for in 5 days". Fat chance!

Watch out for this man!

I would have no trouble giving him a severe beating if I was one of his victims. These kind of criminal do not seem to have any fear of the law in most cases.
