Very nice, thanks for the link Napho.

A p2p engine wrapped into a COM component might have some efficiency issues but on the other hand it makes it very easy to build different clients hooking into the same network. And as the code is open source and actively upgraded, I can only say: kudos to the guys at GnucDNA!

As p2p protocols and software mature we will probably see lots of ready-made components and libraries becoming available to the developers. This is all good, as it makes the technology even harder to stop or to control.

Just wait for HilArYLite, courtesy of the RIAA! Its wonderful features include :
Quote:
- a lovely trojan to leave you open to RIAA bot-hacking
- a nifty conversion plugin which converts every high-quality audio file into a 32kbps Xing-encoded version & deletes the original
- a handy DRM watermarker, which basically deletes anything without one. Of course, if you really insist on keeping the files they'll be converted to low-bitrate .wma & .wmv files & pumped so full of DRM wrappers that you'll barely be able to play the files on your own computer. If you unplug either your speakers, printer, scanner, headphones or modem you can forget about ever seeing that file again. Furthermore, opening your computer casing will result in immediate arrest you hacker!
We're disappointed that we couldn't include the highly-anticipated "Sell Your Soul Online For Hilary" feature, but the RIAA is in fruitful negotiation with the MPAA & other Nazis so that in the end no file can be copied or altered!

Kind regards

Hilary Rosen

P.S. Those bastard pirates who stole my name for a p2p (pirate 2 pirate) application will be sued into pauperdom for copyright infringement!

Disclaimer : if you take this seriously, you are either an idiot or have no sense of humour ie. this is a joke, jibe, jest or parody. Hilary may be stupid, but she can't be that stupid!
