I've been trying to get this to work for a week, unsuccessfully. I use ZoneAlarm Personal, set it the way instructed here http://wiki.shareaza.com/static/FAQ.FirewallsRouters but have never been able to connect to e-donkey or G1. I've only ever connected to G2 and a few of the misc other P2p, Limewire, etc.

When running the firewall test at he ove ste, with or without ZA running I get "The TCP Connection Timed Out" and
under UDP, I get "No answer has been received from your client" It says, I probaly have my firewall configured improperly.

Any suggestions

Maybe you don't have a met file for eDonkey ( F8/right click) and try to manually connect to a G1 cache (F9/right click) or import one if none work.

Not trying to sound smart here. But if you don't know what a met file is, type "met file" into google, and you will find out

Thanks for the great help. I managed to find my old link to Google. I had a friend send it to me.

You're probably correct, sifting through lot's of information on numerous websites will probably be better than asking for help

Thanks for the help.
