Default Osama bin Laden 2?

This could pan out into an interesting story.
Who gets who first?
Straight swap perhaps?

nice post, Malva....

this is an interesting situation...this guy Posada, by all accounts (including the CIA) blew up a passenger airliner, killing 73 people. several pertinent questions: how did he even get in the country? why won't the administration go after him (apparently, they have made no effort to find him)? is it because he targeted Cuba? whatever happened to the "if you harbor terrorists, you are as guilty as they are" doctrine?

Yes,but the second one is just as interesting.
Would Castro go for the swap?

yup, i remember the Joanne Chesimard case from when i was a kid growing up in NJ...she's a cop-killer, no doubt, and deserves all that goes with that, but the timing sure is funny. she's been on the run for 25 years - suddenly, as of 2 weeks ago, she's a terrorist?. no doubt it's designed to deflect attention from the Posada case.

this administration is terrified of pissing off the anti-Castro contingent (as have all administrations been for the last 40 years)....i can't see them cutting a deal with Castro.

Well they did send that little boy back to Cuba, I do think it was the right thing to do, you can't keep a son from his father for political reasons - unless of-course the life of the child is at risk. I think that if this guy Posada is in America they will find him and arrest him. But Because his life will be at risk if he was sent back to Cuba, I don't know if they will send him back.

Well of course his life is at risk.
He committed murder.
Or did he?
Both sides tend to spin just a tad.

Oh Dear someone else wants him now.
He's been quite a naughty boy apparently.
I wonder does this make him a terrorist yet.
I do hope I haven't woke anybody up.
I do so love this bit.

"Declassified FBI documents"

"The US Department of Homeland Security revealed this week that Mr Posada Carriles had applied for political asylum in the US."

"Declassified FBI documents say Mr Posada Carriles spent time working for the CIA during the 1960s, and blame him for the bombing."

Default Osama bin Laden 2 caught?

You've got to hand to homeland Security.
The guys in the media can find him ok.
Now what?

Interesting statement from Castro at the march.
He can draw a crowd this fellow.

"This is not a march against the people of the United States," said the 78-year-old Castro, differentiating between Americans and their government. "It is a march against terrorism, in favor of life and of peace."
