hey, im hesitant to download soulseek as i remember
i tried it back in the day, and that it was slow to yield results, and when there were results, it just queued them for a very long time. whats your next choice? i thought about lime-wire..

Bearshare works a little better than Limewire in my opinion.

µTorrent's a smart little app. combine it with a private tracker and you're as safe as can be expected today. if not someplace private then try an aggregator like torrentz. remember to check the comments sections before you start your transfer and you'll be ok.

You could also try WinMX with its OpenNaps activated - absolutely no spyware, and some good download speeds. Get it from Zeropaid.com.
(Works well for me, anyways). Tony
