Hi again

I have problems with connecting to network.
I'm using Waste 1.1 and I have all keys.
I'm trying:
68.165.107.59:11150
zeroshare.drakonix.org

Probably they are down when I try to connect...
or maybe I got wrong version of Waste, but all members are using old versions, right?
I'm not so new to this network (I was on mirwin.net mesh).

anything before 1.5 will work and that first ip is ok too. next check your firewall/router for permissions, it helps if port 11150 can pass thru. skype users can IM/call me for more help (nic:jackspratts).

a few things..first off..this mesh does not have anything but public domain material shared
what users do one to one is their business..but one main rule is we dont have copyright material shared

you have to have a client earlier than the 1.5 version of waste

if you are sure all your prefrence settings are ok
if you see me on the forum..let me know its on trying to connect
and i can try and connect to you while connected to the mesh
but that wont make you a server as such
just another user on the mesh
that can share and send files like the rest of us..

Any chance on upgrading to 1.5? I just did and seems to be reliable and stuff. Guess I can do a dual install of 1.4 or something. But figured beta is better than alpha

i personaly would be happy to switch to 1.5
when waste2 is out i will try a see if people will take to it..but i dont like my chances..

it would be great if we could get someone like randomnut to check it over and make sure no crap has been added to the original...or what ever the main fear is about it..

woops didnt' see that. Yeah the dual install went fine. What I did was redownload v1.4 and did an install making sure to uncheck the creation of shortcuts since that will replace the v1.5 ones. I then copied everything but the exe over to the WASTE-1.4 directory, made a copy of the zer0share profile, and voila. Had to manually create the shortcuts, but not too hard.

ok, sounds good. why don't you let it run for a few days and post your experience with the set-up, and your experiences with the 2 clients going at the same time, such as the effects on transfers and your general impressions on how the 2 work together. it would be helpful for anyone considering taking advantage of the larger mesh pools. how many meshes are you running btw, and how many are new/old?

I don't really do any downloading, just keep it up for people that don't have static ip's I'll try it though. I haven't really gotten into waste as much as I wanted since I can't really find any groups to get into. A few friiends use it. It was old until I upgraded

Told everyone else to upgrade since our little group was the only thing they used it for. So two projects and 3 profiles running.
