Default Had a problem....

I had a few problems a little while ago, and, well, it ended with me getting a new public key. If you could replace my old one, I'd be very grateful.

Cheers, kingkakdw

It's too late. I'm fueled by a blind, irrational hatred for Waste... bordering on the psychotic.

It's not really a pathological hatred. I just don't think Waste is the most efficient way to acquire files. People seem to get them elsewhere, THEN share on Waste. I prefer to stick to the elsewhere.

There's no reason you couldn't. WASTE uses TCP, but it already makes use of public key cryptography so whether the traffic is anonymous or not, it can't easily be spied upon.

I'm not sure whether WASTE has an option for using a socks proxy. Take note of the following from the documentation :
Quote:
You might want to use Tor with an application that doesn't support socks directly. In this case, you should look at using tsocks to dynamically replace the system calls in your program to route through Tor. If you want to use socks4a, consider using socat (specific instructions are on this hidden service url).
http://freehaven.net/tor/doc/tor-doc.html
It might be a bit overkill but if you're really paranoid you could give tor a whirl. It's an interesting project in that the proxies are connected like a second-generation decentralised p2p network, rather than in the typical client-server fashion.

If you're new to WASTE though, try it out first until you're comfortable enough to use tor in conjunction with it.
