No idea when or IF the original will re-open. However, check the thread below titled New Morph. Discussion Board. Rymke set it up, and it's a darn good substitute.
Woops, nevermind, I see you've already visited that thread.

Even if the official Morp forums do come back, I think we should use it tell everyone to go to the new forums. That post would most likely get nuked the second we place it, but that's basically the only thing the official forum is good for now At the moment I'm more concerned if they will ever release Morpheus 2.0. I guess we shouldn't hold our breathes for either one.

The forum that Rymke has set up is a good alernative to "company based" options.

Here at Napsterites Peer to Peer, we encourage independant discussion of all P2P formats.

If Rymke or yourself want to link your new Morpheous forum to ours, feel free to submit a link button for addition to the
Members Links page here.

If you need help with graphics or logo's , I'm sure our graphics guru's over in the Test Forum will help you where they can as well.

Good luck!

Use this link button on your new forum:

...but I'd rather the Morpheus based people stay. This site was moving much more into all p2p programs and the Morpheus folks renting a floor in the building was indeed welcome ...hehe, don't hate me, but I'm kinda glad that forum went down.

Well of course, we value the Morphies here as well and we look forward to their continued presence and contribution to all aspects of P2P.

They also seem to be enjoying themselves in our other forums. ...have fun!

Definitely a link should be set up between the two forums. The only problem is that I don't run the show. You might see me posting their a lot because I'm trying to get it going but I have no mod or administrative powers what so ever. Rymke is the one to talk to for this. I don't think she visits the Morpheus forums too often anymore, and I don't think she's ever come here so it might be hard to get in touch with her.

I agree this forum is more of a general all about every p2p program. Seeing as most users (myself included) now a days have more then one file sharing program install, Naspterites is a great "cross roads" forum to learn about everything related to p2p. And when the users want to learn more or talk more about one specific program they could go to program specfic forum like Rymke's (I feel guilty if I talk too much about Morpheus here).

As some people have mentioned in the Morpheus forum, with so many different p2p programs out there a broad sharing of knowledge is the way to go. Besides, this a great forum to come to anyhow

Well, we can start from this end anyway... Maze, you are hereby officially assigned to do a nice link button (62x15 pixels) to the new Morpheus board and deliver it to Gaz for further processing. And when Gaz has the link up, shame on Rymke if she doesn't come here to say hi and thank you to all of these nice Napsterites!

I don't think she knows about the this forum as of yet or she hasn't had the time to fully check this forum out. I have made a post at the Morpheus forums to let her know what's up, but I don't know how often she comes to check on the forum.

Does anyone remember a site on Morph/Kazaa Movies, that was put up by a guy named Timber Wolf?

Can't recall the name, and lost the url
Yes, I do remember that site. I think they stopped updating that site awhile ago. You can always go to my site at www.geocities.com/morpheusinfo or click on the little red house icon below. Actually, the idea of the website came from the Kazaa Movies site. What we do at our site is verify movies from Morpheus and post them on the site. And also to let everyone else know Stoepsel is one of the people helping with the site.

I don't know about the others but I'm not going anywhere. I like both forums and have been using both for awhile now. You guys can definitely do the same if you want.

I have several sites I check for the latest P2P News (New programs, Lawsuits etc...)

EFF Homepage

infoAnarchy. Which future do you want to live in?

MP3 Newswire

Slyck - Inform thyself.

I then drop in on a couple of Forums to see if I can answer any questions or offer some advice...

Zeropaid.com - The File Sharing Portal (Dr Fileshare & Morpheus Forums)

Morpheus @ www.ezboard.com

I finally come here to NU and spend most of my time here

I will go back to the other forums several times through the night and check out whats going on there (Zeropaid & Morpheus) but always end up back here. (Unless I'm busy downloading & sharing files...)
