So thats where the gnutella web search is. The gnutella web search was up quite some time ago and disappeared and couldn't find it for the longest time. Looks like its back. They also had one like this for napster as well. Thanks for posting the link, JS.

Here's another link for the gnutella web search:

i tried the links at a public library but i could only stream, not d/l. damn those brilliant librarians!

Web searches are kinda evil as they jack up the leech ratio.

good point assorted. all the more reason to share lots when home. share as much as you can, whenever you can but don't be afraid to use the system if you can't share temporarily. just put in what you take out.

ok i get you muif. i just let the d/l go thru my browser (opera) & straight to my drive. you don't need a p2p.

say you're out of town, in the office, at a friends, parents whatever and you have to grab a file but the pc you're using doesn't have a client installed and configured and you can't install one to begin with for whatever reason. well, with these web pages you can access the client remotely and use the network anyway.

i grabbed a few christmas tunes at my parents and at my girlfriends' without having to install a file sharing app on their pcs. since then i've placed morpheus/winmx 3.0 on both so i don't need this with those particular computers.

these are great little web sites for quick gnutella access when you otherwise can't get on a p2p network.
